Great things are happening..

In case you didn't get to read my email from last night, let me bring you up to speed. I got a call from Nicaragua yesterday and they are prepping Oscar for surgery on Monday.

His mom was put back in jail this month and I asked for you to pray for her today as she went before the judge.

IT WORKED....

No only did they let her out today but they have agreed to CANCEL her charges completely and let her out for good. Because they want to make sure she is telling the truth they need some paperwork from the hospital and once they receive that they will issue her a statement of freedom which will cancel her 3 years left for her sentence.

God is so faithful... Can you believe it? They are going to release her for good. That is just not heard of in our jail systems must less in Nicaragua. God heard your prayers and answered them in a mighty way.

Thank you so much for lifting Oscar and Francisca up in prayer. Look what it did.

I talked to Carlos (my translator, my life saver, my right hand man..) today and now the hospital is asking for crazy stuff. Towels for Oscar, 4 pairs of PJ's, distilled water, plastic cups.. Things we just assume are covered are not there. I have already had to pay for bed sheets for mom. We can complain about our medical payments here but just imagine if it was your responsibility to bring with you to the hospital, sheets, towels, soap for the doctor, bulbs for the lights, etc. That is the kind of list they were given.

I wired $200 more to Carlos tonight and I am hoping this will finally cover everything. If you think about it, this will be the cheapest kidney transplant you will ever hear of.

I really appreciate those of you who purchased raffle tickets to help Oscar. That money paid for all the tests needed to get him to this point. God will bless you more than I can imagine. A couple of you have sent in money specifically for Oscar and that money went toward the test also. I still need to cover the last $200 I just wired. If those of you who have not been able to help so far feel led to, please just let me know so I can account for it.

If your family can't help financially, trust me YOUR PRAYERS are worth more. Pray those who can will be willing.

On Monday my little buddy will have a new kidney and a chance at life, all because people like YOU cared for him. What an act of love you have shown. Teach your children about Oscar and what God is doing in his life. Show them his pictures so together you can pray for him.

I'll keep you posted as I know more. Again, thanks so much for your prayers.

Angie

Pray for Oscar and his Mom Francisca

I just got word the doctor is ready to do the surgery on Monday.. The time is finally here. There is one problem.

Oscar's mom was put back in jail the day after we left Nicaragua. The prison would not allow her to stay out any longer. Her body is not ready for this surgery and the judge would not let her out earlier this week.

Tomorrow she gets to go before the judge again and request to get out AGAIN. Hopefully he will allow it since the hospital is now saying they are ready for the surgery.

Please pray for favor with the judge. We have come this far and we are so close.

Pray now that this kidney will be received by Oscar's body COMPLETELY, not only does his kidney functions need to work but his brain and blood has to accept the kidney.

Pray for his nerves as he just saw his friend in the hospital reject their kidney and pass away. He is afraid now and is not sure about the surgery. Bless his little heart, so young and has so much to worry about.

Pray for Francisca to get out and be able to get her body ready for the surgery. She will need several weeks in the hospital to recover which will make it difficult for Oscar knowing his mom is sick.

Pray for finances. I have paid all I can for them. All the money raised and donated has already paid for the numerous test that had to be done. The surgery is covered for both of them but they keep asking for crazy things. Today they were told they would need money for the extra sheets needed for the surgery. Things are so different there.

If you would like to support this need please email me and let me know how much you can send and that way I can have a tally and get the money sent. We are working with the hospital to make sure these charges are legitimate. The family has tried to help with some of the cost but its really hard because all of them are in the $100's of dollars and they can not come up with that kind of money making a $1 a day.

You can donate by credit card online with PayPal by going to my donations page or by sending a check to (make the subject line "Oscar":

More than anything please pray for Oscar. He is only 8 years old. He has lived a very hard life since he was born. This is his chance at a new life, a new future.

God Bless,

Angie

You prayers are working.. Keep them coming..

We are at the airport in Managua on our way to Houston. All of us are doing well. Just a small cough every once in a while from us. Terry's sinuses is draining and that is all he has. Logan and Jordon is back to normal and I'm now feeling much better. We went to the top of a huge mountain and was walking in the clouds. Our heads got really wet and the air really messed our sinuses up. I really think for us that is all that is going on but to be safe we will go to the doctor tomorrow. I got really hot a little while ago and thought I had a fever but it was a false alarm.

My biggest concern is for the others on the plane. If we are in fact sick I of course do not want to make them sick.

I have prayed and prayed for discernment and feel ok with us flying. None of us have the symptoms as of now that the girls have. I just pray God has protected us from getting sicker and therefore is protecting the others that will fly with us.

I trust the Lord's healing power and I expect him to take care of me.

So the next time I write I will be home and healthy, in the Name of Jesus.

Keep Praying It's Working..

Praise God today Logan is up and walking around and eating a meal for the first time in two days. We are not home free just yet. We have to go to the airport in the morning and get through customs in Houston with all of us coughing. The problem with that is we have to sign a paper saying we don't have any coughing or issues. I am not sure at what point they make us fill that out but of course I don't want to lie about it but I also don't want carried away into some room and put under a microsope either.

Alisha and Erin both went to the doctor and both have different problems, none of which we appear to have here. Continue to pray that we don't get any more symptoms than the coughing we have. All fever has been gone now for over 12 hours and by the time we fly it will be 24 hours.

We will all need to go to the doctor and be checked for swine flu since we are in a country that has had it and we have coughing, a lot of it and fever. It is best to be safe than sorry. Please pray for the Alisha and Erin as their bodies have already been affected much worse than ours. Alisha was seen today by a doctor and diagnosed positive for swine but Erin was not. So we all will need to be tested as soon as we get home. We are praying against it and trusting God.

Many great things happen on this trip. It is not a surprise we find ourselves like this. It is not unusual for teams to get sick after the great work they do. We however speak the Word of God against it and command it to leave US ALONE. By HIS Stripes we ARE healed.. This sickness has to go, it has no authority to stay here.

Lift us up in prayer as we leave in the morning at 2:00 your time.

PRAY, PRAY, PRAY..

Thanks,

Angie

Continue Praying....

Please continue praying as Jordon is doing much better but Logan is much worse. He has had a high fever all day and is throwing up and has a lot of pain in his head from the fever when the medicine wears off. We have gotten medicine for him and see some change but not much.

I too and now sick but not with fever. Just feeling really bad and I have a bad cough. This is how all of them started.

Alisha wrote me from the states and she is also home with a fever and bad cough.

Dr. Anderson feels it is an infection from the dust. An man were we in the dust this week.

Tomorrow I am too meet with Mi Familia, obviously I can not go if I am sick. Pray this passes and I do not get the fever like the others. I am feeling pretty bad right this minute and can tell my body is having a hard time breathing.

Your prayers are so needed. PUSH.. Pray UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS...

Thanks,

Angie
