One Major Project Down, many more to go...

I have been so busy lately I don't know if I was coming or going. Between working two jobs, getting ready for the yard sale, getting my house ready for out of town guests and not to mention my oldest son Jordon graduated from high school on Friday night and afterwards we had a celebration. If it was not for my friend Tammy Dixon the night would not have gone over so great. I owe you girl... Just name it, I'll do it for you.

Needless to say my life has been somewhat busy for the last couple of weeks. Praise God all for great things.

The yard sale went "ok". To be honest not a lot of people came and I ended up with more stuff in my garage than I started with thanks to donations from other people. I think I'm going to try it again in June sometime. We raised $300 which is badly needed for trophies and banquet stuff for my soccer tournament.

Anyone interested in joining me for another sale in June? The more we have the more people we attract.

I have been on the phone a lot with my team in Nicaragua and plans are being made for the tournament. They are so excited they can hardly stop talking about it long enough to get decisions made. I am as much excited about it knowing the joy they have already.

The garden project is going well. They have been transplanting bedding plants for the last week. The rain has started already and has been severe at times causing delays in getting things going. The training guy Evert tells me very week they are working hard. It's great progress. For years they have had nothing to work toward and now they are working on a garden everyday. What great fulfillment.

I now have a team of 6 headed to Nicaragua on July 23rd. I will be taking two of my sons this trip and I'm so excited to introduce missions to Logan. There is still time for people to go. The cost is going to run right at $1,000 unless airfare has gone up. The longer you wait the more the airfare will cost. If you have been thinking about going, this trip will be a great one to participate in.

Please pray for our team and for things going on in Nicaragua. I have already had great opposition and changes to our plans. The enemy does not want things to go well for us I can tell already. When I see issues this soon I know God has great things in store for us. Please cover us in prayer now and until we return.

I have 3 equipment drives going on now to collect gloves, balls and bats. If you can help I would be grateful. Ask your neighbors, your friends who have teens that play baseball if they have any gloves, balls or cleats they would like to donate. I need size 7 1/2 -10 adult size cleats and 11 1/2 and up size gloves.

I am still looking for great thing to give away at the banquet as door prizes.

I am also in need of one of those large sling shots. I want to shoot t-shirts to the crowds during the breaks in the soccer tournament. If you have one I can borrow I promise to bring it back.

I appreciate all the support for what I do. Lately the Lord has shown me how he has orchestrated my life thus far to put great people in it to help me accomplish His will for my life. You are in it for a much bigger reason than just being my friends..

God Bless Everyone..

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST...

My friend Ashley Pell and her sisters are on a mission trip in the Phillipines. The Pell sisters are amazing. They have traveled 4 hours walking up a mountain into an area that has not been visited by the locals much less foreigners especially American girls. They have just blessed these families with tons and tons of clothes and other supplies and taught them about the blessings of the Lord and how to truly worship.

While in this very remote area their translator David has gotten an unknown virus. He is extremely ill right this minute in the hospital in great pain and running a high fever. Doctors has tested him for everything and have found nothing thus far.

Ashley, the girls and David's wife are doing well physically but I am sure are wore out from the wait of their sick friend not to mention that David and his wife are in the process of moving and the girls are trying to meet that deadline by painting and getting things ready.

David is a strong believer and the girls are powerful prayer warriors but as all of us know seeing a loved one in this condition can wear on the finest.

We need a miracle and one fast. We need these doctors to find the problem and fix it or we need God to heal him miraclously. Which I am expecting and believing HE WILL DO.

Please stop now and petition the Lord on David's behalf. I know in my heart he is to young and has to many things left to do in this world. It is not his time to go.

Lift up the girls and his wife also as they are trying to juggle life without his help and take care of him at the same time.

This is a very serious situation folks. Don't pass the chance by to be a part of holding up the arms of our warriors on the battle field.

Thanks so much,

You can read more about what Ashley and the girls are doing and keep up the status of David on Ashley's blog at http://www.hispassion.org/Blogs/AshleysBlog/tabid/56/Default.aspx

Emotional Restoration and a New House..

It can't get any better than this guys. My trip home to see my mom was a very emotional one for me now that I am home.

While I was there it was as if nothing had ever happen between us. My mom not once said anything ugly to me, not once told me how fat I was or even how bad my hair looked. ( Which was an every visit conversation for the last 10 years)

She never put me down not once. Instead she smiled at me and laughed with me and acted as if we were best friends.

You can't imagine how that felt to me. Even now I can't write this without crying.  For 43 years I have done everything I could to receive my mom's genuine love and failed and out of no where she finds a way to give it and doesn't even know it.

My brother has been a sore spot in our lives the entire time and now he is in jail for selling drugs. Just before he got caught he hurt my mom really bad and she opened her eyes to see that all this time he was the problem and I was the one trying to help her. Even on Saturday he lied right to her face at a time he was desperate. She saw him for the real person he is and I hope finally saw Jesus in me. Even though my brother has done me wrong my entire life I showed my mom I could still love him by driving home 5 hours to turn around and drive her 2 hours to the jail so she could visit with him for 15 minutes.

No only was I able to show my mom I still loved her by what I was trying to do for her with my brother but I was able to show her God wants the best for her. Remember the man I talked to about the house? Well he made it to see her and now she is first on the waiting list to receive a NEW paid for by a gov't grant house.

My mom has lived in a house that none of you would stay in over night. She has lived in the worse conditions any one could imagine. It has been her choice, let me mention. Her house is falling down on top of her little by little and there is no heat except for a small coal stove in one room and that' pretty much where she lives all winter long. The house is so cold that ice freezes on the windows on the inside.

Today I got a call from this agency and they informed me that not only was my mom first on the list but that he felt certain they would receive the grant money by July or August and my mom would not freeze during the winter again.

Words can't express the emotions I have right now. My mom is seeing Jesus in a mighty way. I told her my friends where praying for her and that God would hear us and answer our prayers. Today I called to let her know the good news and for the first time I could hear a sigh of relief like never before. She has seen Jesus today...she has hope that she has never had before. Thank you so much for praying. Those men told me they didn't have time to come and see her but for some reason they just felt like they needed too.. Praise God for favor in my mom's life.

Please continue to pray that I can show my mom the true meaning of a relationship with God. She knows all the things about God but doesn't know how to have a personal relationship with him. I am very excited to think God is working out a way for our relationship to be restored and His relationship to begin.

The man told me he will be submitting the request for my moms house next week and will know the answer by July or August but feels assured he will get the grant money. Please pray for favor with the gov't so that this money will be received and my mom will get the new house she desperately deserves.

God is so good... He is always working on our behalf.

Here are some pictures of my mom's house.

If you notice the middle of the porch is swaying to the middle. Almost every room in the house is down hill and boards are popping up everywhere before the house is shifting so bad and the nails can't hold the boards down any more.

I can't wait until the day I can send out pictures of her new house. God is so good. He is so faithful. I have been praying for this house for 10+ years.

Divine Appointments.. #2

I truly believe in them. I believe God prepares the way as you walk by faith. I talked to my mom last night and found her in tears. Tears of fear, frustration, aggravation, depression, hopelessness, discouragement and pretty much just about every emotion one can have.

She and I have struggled so much over our lifetime but for a brief few moments she allowed me in. What a miracle...

Her house is literally falling down on her head and she is very concerned.

She told me about a program going on in her area from the stimulus package and who is in charge of it so I picked up the phone this morning and called this man.

Amazingly, today of all days, he was preparing to meet officials from the capital who have been assigned the responsibility of finding homes to repair or completely rebuild. They are going from house to house to evaluate who can receive help and who can not.

I put my mom's face in front of this man and encouraged him to keep up the good work. I told him I knew it was God that connected us together on this very day and to please just be aware of my mom's situation. He told me he had some specific families that took priority over my mom but after those where visited if time prevailed he would go to his other list based on the location they were at and the time left.

I am asking you to pray that God puts this man right in my mom's area and there is plenty of time for them to go and evaluate her house.

There is no guarantee that they will choose her but at least she will be interviewed. I am trusting God that she will have favor with them and get a new home.

She is 65 years old and lives on a fixed income in a home that is killing her health wise and the foundation is falling in on her. She has lived there since she was born and loves her independence so asking her to mom somewhere else is out of the question.

I need this to happen.. I need God to intervene and help my mom and I am asking him, believing it to be done.

Please be in agreement with me that the doors that have already opened this morning will continue to open through all the agencies, departments, and officials that will be making this decision.

I am leaving in the morning to go and be with her as she is mentally unstable right now from the stress of the house and the stress of my brother who has been incarcerated and can't get out for a lack of funds. He is begging my mom to get him out and she just does not have the money and I refuse to help him because he needs to learn his lesson. I am going to help him help himself get out but I won't bail him out.

Those of you who know me know this is a big deal. For those of you who are new to my blog, my mom and I have not spoken but twice in 4 years. She is angry at me because I defended her against my brother and in her eyes until now "HE does no wrong". Isn't it great how God takes something bad and turns it into good.

Pray I can be selfless and not opinionated and will just love on my mom. She really needs it and so do I.

God Bless,

Angie

My little Red Power Ranger..

By now you know who I am talking about. My little body Oscar. We found him this time very swollen with fluid and very tired.

We were blessed to visit his mother at the prison. She has been given a shorter sentence for 3 years and by the next court date she has it will be 1 1/2 years. We are believing with her that the judge will let her out on good behavior. Please be in agreement with me.

Oscar's dad is now out of jail and is working on getting tested to be a donor match for his kidney. He hopes to be tested today or tomorrow. Pray this slow process will speed up.

I was blessed by my friend Michelle who donated a costume for Oscar. He was in heaven when I showed it to him. He had fake muscles so we told him that even when he is weak he is strong.

We were able to take him out for icecream and sugar him up a little bit.

I took him some new clothes since I noticed the last two times he was wearing the exact same clothes. He loved the orange shorts.

Check his pictures out here. He was so happy. I hope to have a video up soon.

Pray for his healing as his little body can not go on much longer with the stress it is going through.

We need a perfect healing or a perfect match, which ever God wants.

Enjoy my little buddy Oscar.
