Operation Education 2014 Photos

It's that time again for sponsors to choose their child for the 2014 school year. I have currently 46 kids that need a sponsor.

The cost is only $35. With that money I will purchase a full school uniform, shoes, socks and a backpack. Additionally students will receive a pack of crayons, pencils, sharpener, and erasers.

Only one of every three children in Nicaragua get to go to school. Public school is free but the uniforms are not. This cost is a months wages for most of the families in La Ceibita. It's impossible for them to send their kids to school each year without our support.

Please check out this website page and choose a child today.

Money is due to me by October 15th and each child will receive their school packs in December.

Operation Education 2014

I just got home from my 31st trip to Nicaragua. Can't believe I have been so blessed to go and minister in this country. I am so humbled by God's blessings in my life. I am so honored He allows me to do this. I am writing to you to talk about Operation Education 2014.

I just took all the pictures of the kids and will be working to get them processed and online for sponsoring but there are some things I need to let you know about.

1. Most of you know I have been fighting with the IRS to reinstate my tax exempt status. I have done everything they have asked and they assure me there won't be any problems but my paperwork is sitting in a stack that is now behind by a year and half. They are just now working on applications that were sent in the middle of 2011. Can you believe they are that far behind? Therefore, until further notice I will not be able to give any tax credit. I understand that can be an issue for some of you and understand if you choose not to sponsor a child because of it. I would hope that blessing these children would be more important than the $35 write off but will truly understand if you can't. Every penny counts for lots of us. With that said all checks will need to be made out to me personally, not to The Power of One. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience. Please join me in prayer that this gets corrected ASAP.

2. If you plan on sponsoring the same child from last year I will need to know if you have not told me already. Otherwise I will put your child up to be sponsored. I will need to know ASAP and no later than August 23rd. Some of you I will be contacting personally  to let you know that your child has left the program. I had to make some changes and that will affect several of you.

3. School Supplies - it's that time of year again. I am in need of  supplies for the kids. Each year the $35 to sponsor only covers the uniform and shoes and backpack. I have been paying out of my own pocket all the school supplies. I am hoping that this year maybe those who live near me would pitch in and help me. I am in need of the following items: (these are the only items I collect)

- Pencils - Crayons - Colored Pencils - Pencil Sharpeners - Erasers - small or large are fine - Ball Point Pens

Since the school supplies are on sale (Walmart has crayons for .25 cents right now) I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me buy a few these items. Maybe you can add a few extra packs of things when you buy your school supplies. Let me know you have them and I'll make arrangements to get them from you. I need the school supplies by the end of September.

4. If you don't currently sponsor a child and would like to please contact me. It's a one time fee of $35 and it allows that child to attend school for the entire year. Very few of my kids drop out through out the year. All of them who attended last year passed their grade which is very rare. We even were noticed by the head of the school system in Somotillo.

As soon as I have the pictures ready I will be posting more about my trip. God allowed me to share the Gospel with all the men in the community and we got to bless lots of people with new shoes and food. Pictures and more details to come.

God Bless all of you,

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Another Opportunity to Bless Others

This past month I had the privelege of going to Mexico on a mission trip with 17 others including my two younger sons. It was Jacob's first trip. I felt so proud to have him with me.. Now all my boys have been on a mission trip. Soon Francis will be old enough to go and then I will be able to say the entire Honeycutt's have fullfilled God's plan for our lives.

The Mexico trip made my 30th trip since 2004. I can hardly belive it has been 10 years already. In August I will go to Nicaragua again and it will be my 30th trip there. I feel so honored God choose me.  Going never gets old. Even today as I spoke with someone going on my trip I got goose bumps just thinking about our plans. My heart almost skips a beat when I think about going.

I can't describe the love I have for the people in my community. It's a love that only God can put into someone. It's his love and it's geniune.

Today I spoke to one of the mom's who as of this Friday will move into a new home that her child's sponsor built for her. She was so excited she couldn't hardly talk to me. She just kept saying how thankful she was to God and to this sponsor. No more rain she said. No more water on my things. No more animals in my house.

I can't image what her life has been like living under horrible conditions but I can imagine how she feels now. She has received a gift that was impossible in her eyes. She has received something that she could only dreamed of before now. What a great feeling that must be for her to see her prayers answered in a new house.

I think God wants to us feel that feeling every day. He wants to bless us in ways we can't even imagine. He wants to give us all the desires of our hearts. I think we stand in His way. We get so caught up in trying to make things happen ourselves that we don't take time to wait on him to bless us. What are your desires? What do you need from God? Try asking, believing and you will receive. His word promises it.

I will be leaving August 1st so if you want to send your sponsored child a letter I need it in my hands by July 27th.

These kids love getting letters from you. They get so excited listening for their name to be called. Please take time to send them a card/letter. It doesn't have to be some fancy $5 card from Walmart. It can be a note from you and it will bring a smile to their face that is bigger than you can imagine.

Thanks so much for your support to these kids. They pray for you  every day.

If you don't currently sponsor a child with me your chance is soon coming. I will be posting next school years pictures when I get back and you too can sponsor a child and change their life by sending them to school.

Remember July 27th is your deadline to send me a letter/card.

Here's a picture of the new house I told you about and the old house side by side. Notice it's nothing but plastic and sticks. That's the case on all four sides. Thanks Pam and Joe, you are the best...

As always. God Bless all of you.

Preparing to Leave

On Thursday I will leave for Nicaragua with 3 other people from Charlotte and I will meet 30 more people in Managua. I am blessed to work for Ambassadors To The Nations who have been working in Nicaragua since 1992. It is an honor to not only serve the Lord with missions on my own but to partner with such a great organization and have that as my JOB every day also.

On the 13th I will leave then and meet Gwen Emmett at the airport and together we will head to Somotillo to bless a lot of people.

In January I sent tons of boxes by container to bless the kids and young adults. I can't wait to visit each home and hand them out. This will be the first time they will receive care boxes from the US. No every family was able to participate but through the blessings of Ambassadors every child will get a nice box.

I need the prayer warriors of this group to start praying now for me and this trip. My health is still an issue and the ability to eat healthy in Nicaragua is not convenient. Pray I find solutions to accommodate my strict diet.  Additionally, pray for good weather, a unity among out teams and that the hearts of all the people we will minister to are open and ready to hear the Good News. Please also pray for my family as I am leaving Terry for 13 days with 3 kids and a business to run. I am so grateful I have a wonderful supportive husband.

I am excited to say I am only $300 short of being able to purchase the motorcycle for Pastor Arturo and I have raised enough money to purchase more than 30 chairs for the church and hopefully a podium for Pastor Arturo's bible. I just love blessing this man of God who sacrifices so much to bless my little community.

If you would still like to contribute toward any of the needs I sent out before there is still time. Just let me know.

I appreciate the prayers and I can't wait to give you a great report on what God's plans turn out to be.

Blessings,

Angie

I need you to PUSH

Pray Until Something Happens.. I personally believe that God's word clearly tells us to Ask, Believing and You SHALL Receive so I pray once and the rest of the time I pray thanking Him for answering my first prayer. That's what I ask of you to do for me as well.  Here's what I need.

1. I have been struggling for years with different symptoms in my body and have always thought it was an under active thyroid. Two of my aunts have one and I have all the symptoms they have had. My blood work comes back fine but yet I have all the signs so doctors just say I'm ok. I went to a wellness doctor who feels 110% that I have it and along with other tests he ran feels certain if I don't change my eating habits and my stress levels that I will be over 300 lbs in two years. (I gained 25 lbs in 45 days).  My insurance will not pay for him to treat me so on March 26th I have an appointment to see an Endocronlogist to see if they agree with is diagnoses and give me meds that are not synthetic. Insurance will pay to see this doctor. Pray with me that this doctor will not look at my blood work but look at all the symptoms I have struggled with for years. The wellness doctor has told me I can not eat any sugar, carbs or bread and so for two weeks I have pretty much ate meat, salad and eggs. My body is going through detox and I have the energy of a dead log and feel pretty horrible most days. I leave for Nicaragua on March 7th. I need my energy back. I believe I am healed by the stripes of Jesus and I expect these symptoms to go away, until they do pray I have the strength to endure and this doctor will have the wisdom needed to take me down the right direction. Lord, I thank you for perfect healing...

2. I am in need of finding more opportunities to share what God is doing in Nicaragua. I need more churches and people to get involved. My resources are limited now that I lost my part-time job last August but the needs never slow down. Please pray that I will see the doors that God will open for me and I will walk through them. He promises in Rev. 3:7 that He will open doors that no man can shut. I'm looking for those doors now. Lord thank you for the open doors you have for me and for the new opportunities to tell more people about your plans for my little community in Nicaragua.

3. I need to raise $1500 to purchase a motorcycle for Pastor Arturo. He is so faithful to minister to the people in Ceibita but it is huge sacrifice and struggle for him to go there. A motorcycle would change his life. It's tax season so I am believing God that someone I know who got a large amount back would feel led to sow into this Pastor and help me bless him. Lord thank you for the people in my life and the people who have an abundance and can bless this Pastor. Thank you for Pastor Arturo's love for the people of Ceibita and for his faithfulness. Thank for you allowing me to be a part of your plan for him and for the provision to buy him a motorcycle.

4. The house that's being built for Antonio is at a stopping point because I need to raise $800 to fix his bathroom and kitchen area and connect him to the water system. He and his family are having to live in a very small house with his parents right now. I am looking for families to host a jewelry party for me so I can raise that $800. If you would be interested in hosting a party at your home please let me know. Every dime counts right now. Please pray for opportunities for me to sell the jewelry I have. Lord thank you for being faithful and taking care of your children. Antonio and his family are your children and they love you and desire to have their own home. Thank you for my home and for the home Antonio will soon live in. I know that You will bless me with the money to help him get moved into his house.

5.  Last September I got a letter from the IRS temporary terminated my non-profit status until I could correct a problem that was found. I have corrected it and sent the paperwork and paid the penalty. Please pray they will hurry up and reinstate it. It's frustrating waiting on them. Pray it lands on the desk of a believer who pushes it through the red tape process. I've waited a long time. They say it can take up to 6-8 months.  Lord, I thank you for a speedy solution to this problem.

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Matt. 7:11

You can pray for anything and if you have faith you will receive it.

Matt. 21:22

Will you pray with me and watch God supply?
