Raffle Tickets for Sale

I am selling raffle tickets to raise money for Oscar and other mission projects. They cost $1 and it gives you 3 chances to win. A $100, $75 and $50 prize will be drawn.

I am in need of folks to help me sell these tickets. Please consider calling your friends and asking them to purchase one.

I will be happy to get the tickets to you once I know how many. If you want to purchase one just give me a call or send me the money and I'll mark the tickets for you.

I have gone door to door selling them so far and really need an avenue to get rid of a bunch of them. Please consider helping me. I still need to raise about $400 more for Oscar.

I just got a call from a great friend who was willing to take a few minutes and call her friends and she sold 50 tickets in a matter of minutes. Amazing things can happen if we just try. Thanks so much Stephanie...

New Kidney Means a New Life

Yesterday I was blessed to be able able to wire the first $800 for Oscar. On Monday or Tuesday he and his mother will have test ran and they will be sent to Costa Rica to determine if she is a match.

This is a huge hurdle we need to get over and I am asking for each of you to help me pray for this little boy.

I am trusting God completely on this and know that Oscar is HIS prince and He has his life in HIS hands but I don't think God would mind at all if I call out to him on Oscars behalf.

This pray with me over the next two weeks the following:

1. Most importantly that GOD's will be done in Oscar's life. 2. Pray Mom is a match and if she is not she will be able to deal with the pain that will come with that answer. 3 The blood tests will be done in record timing and there will be no interruptions to deal with. 4. Oscar's health will continue to be stable enough for him to undergo the surgery. 5. The prison mom is in will continue to allow her to be with him during this time. 6. The warden of the prison will have mercy on her and let her go on good behavior. 7. During this time of unknown that the entire family will find HOPE and PEACE in God and see that God loves Oscar more than they do and they must trust in him. 8. Pray for the doctors who will do the surgery. Pray they will do the best job any doctor can do and the procedure will be done without any issues. 9. Pray I will raise any additional monies needed to help me. 10. Pray I will be at peace with all that is going on. I won't lie it has been the most stressful two weeks I have had in a long time. I need to find rest in knowing that God sees all and He sees Oscar's future, He's got it all figured out, He does not need me to help him. :)

Prayer for Oscar

My little Oscar has been in the hospital again for the past three weeks. He had a tube in his kidney to drain infection for several months and it got infected back in October. They removed it hoping he could do ok without it but that is not the case so they have put it back this month. The problem is because of the dirty environment he is in it does not take much to get it infected. Pray that does not happen.

Additionally, we were called last week telling us they are testing the mother for a kidney transplant match finally. I was so excited to hear the prison had finally allowed her to be test until I got another call stating the cost of the test were going to be $590.

Where is a woman who is in prison going to come up with kind of money? That is a normal Nicaraguan's 2 year salary.

I have prayed and prayed about how I am to help in this situation and God has said it's not for me to help this time. I have already spent 1,000's helping Oscar and thought but God I can't stop now but I'm clear what he has told me.

So instead I write to you to ask you to pray for my little Oscar. Pray God sends his family this money through what ever means is in His plans. I have given Oscar to the Lord, He loves him more than I do. I have to trust He is working this out.

If you feel led to help this family reach this goal I will pay to wire the money there. I know God has great plans for this little boy, He will have an amazing testimony of how he cheated death many many times.

Please add him to your prayer list at your church. He is in desperate need of an new kidney soon.

Lift my little Oscar up in prayer daily. It breaks my heart to know he is sick all the time. He loves life and loves his family but most importantly Loves the Power Rangers. :)

One Major Project Down, many more to go...

I have been so busy lately I don't know if I was coming or going. Between working two jobs, getting ready for the yard sale, getting my house ready for out of town guests and not to mention my oldest son Jordon graduated from high school on Friday night and afterwards we had a celebration. If it was not for my friend Tammy Dixon the night would not have gone over so great. I owe you girl... Just name it, I'll do it for you.

Needless to say my life has been somewhat busy for the last couple of weeks. Praise God all for great things.

The yard sale went "ok". To be honest not a lot of people came and I ended up with more stuff in my garage than I started with thanks to donations from other people. I think I'm going to try it again in June sometime. We raised $300 which is badly needed for trophies and banquet stuff for my soccer tournament.

Anyone interested in joining me for another sale in June? The more we have the more people we attract.

I have been on the phone a lot with my team in Nicaragua and plans are being made for the tournament. They are so excited they can hardly stop talking about it long enough to get decisions made. I am as much excited about it knowing the joy they have already.

The garden project is going well. They have been transplanting bedding plants for the last week. The rain has started already and has been severe at times causing delays in getting things going. The training guy Evert tells me very week they are working hard. It's great progress. For years they have had nothing to work toward and now they are working on a garden everyday. What great fulfillment.

I now have a team of 6 headed to Nicaragua on July 23rd. I will be taking two of my sons this trip and I'm so excited to introduce missions to Logan. There is still time for people to go. The cost is going to run right at $1,000 unless airfare has gone up. The longer you wait the more the airfare will cost. If you have been thinking about going, this trip will be a great one to participate in.

Please pray for our team and for things going on in Nicaragua. I have already had great opposition and changes to our plans. The enemy does not want things to go well for us I can tell already. When I see issues this soon I know God has great things in store for us. Please cover us in prayer now and until we return.

I have 3 equipment drives going on now to collect gloves, balls and bats. If you can help I would be grateful. Ask your neighbors, your friends who have teens that play baseball if they have any gloves, balls or cleats they would like to donate. I need size 7 1/2 -10 adult size cleats and 11 1/2 and up size gloves.

I am still looking for great thing to give away at the banquet as door prizes.

I am also in need of one of those large sling shots. I want to shoot t-shirts to the crowds during the breaks in the soccer tournament. If you have one I can borrow I promise to bring it back.

I appreciate all the support for what I do. Lately the Lord has shown me how he has orchestrated my life thus far to put great people in it to help me accomplish His will for my life. You are in it for a much bigger reason than just being my friends..

Yard Sale...

I am working on having a yard sale on Saturday. I need people to join me, give me stuff or just come and help me sale.. All monies will go to Nicaragua of course.

Let me know if you have stuff you would like to add to my sale. You can drop it off to me on Friday as I prepare for it.

If you can come and help me on Friday get ready I would love the help. I am selling an entire gargage full of stuff and anything else I can find in my house. Would love to have help on Saturday to need it more on Friday.
