God is doing something in Somotillo

I need your prayers. God has opened a door for me to showing Facing the Gaints movie for over 200 youth tomorrow night.

It will be a nice chance to show them a movie and then share the Gospel with them.

The Pastor here wants me to talk to the boys and that is not normal for me but I agree it showed be me so I need your prayers that the Holy Spirit will speak through me and many lives will be changed by the words from my heart.

The local church here has been fasting all day and praying for the outcome of this meeting but I am asking specifically for prayer for me. It is not normal for me to do this and I am already nervous. I am willing to do what ever God wants but preaching is not my call. Talking to them I can do but want to make sure I have the right words.

God is already doing great things on this trip. He has opened the doors for me to do many more projects here in Somotillo. Today I meet with a lot of teenagers and found there are many things to do there in order to keep them focused on the Lord. I am very excited about the coming year.

Tomorrow I will be taking the kids shopping for the school clothes. They are so excited. They have such great appreciation to everyone. On mother told me she will get up at 4am to make sure she is ready. It was so sweet. They have great hearts and are doing so well.  I also bought them bibles and they acted like I had given them a million dollars.

I am so thankful to be here and for your help to carry out what I am doing. Tomorrow will be the busiest day this week so pray for my strength. It is very very hot this time and should not be. I have had a headache each day from the heat. I am even drinking tons of water and it is not working.

I can´t wait to tell you about tomorrow night. Pray for it´s success.

Until then...

Angie

Starting out great already...

Well I am happy to say I am safe and sound in Managua. I arrived yesterday around 4 and left home at 4am so it was a long day. Not to mention I only got 2 hours of sleep before I left. My flights were very short between each other and I had three of them so when I arrived to Managua I didn´t even go to see if my bags where there instead I headed toward the counter to wait for the agent who tracks lost bags. I turned around and to my amazement there was both of my bags. I just about danced in that building. I did shout and praise God to the top of my lungs. I just could not believe it even though I expected it and prayed for it. It was such a sweet blessing from God. He knew how bad I needed those bags. Needless to say the long flight and my wore out body got a huge boost of energy.

Today I went to the hospital with my friend and at 1200 God gave me a new healthy baby girl to bless. It is just amazing to have been here on this day. God made this trip so special to me.  He has blessed me with a new little girl to spoil. We don´t have the details on her size yet because things are really differnt here but I saw her for a minute and she is healthy and beautiful and for now that is all that matters.

I bought 40 bibles today and God blessed with me a larger bible than expected. I can´t wait to take them to Cebieta.

Thanks so muc h for your prayers. God answered them in a mighty way. I got my bags and a new baby, things are going great. Keep praying because I am only one day into this trip and there is a lot more to get done.

I´ll write more later as I can, for now, BEDTIME.. I am exhausted...

Leaving in the morning.

I have been so busy the last two weeks that I have not had 10 minutes to write about my trip. I am almost all packed and ready to go with bags full of Christmas gifts for the new orphanage, irrigation systems for the 10 new families we are adding on, baby clothes and extras for a new baby girl arriving on Monday morning and tons of school supplies.

Thanks so much for everybody who has played a role in this trip. It amazes me each time I leave how many people are involved. This is not just my trip to Nicaragua. This is everyones trip that has helped and prayed for me. I just happen to be the one that gets to go.

God has been working overtime to help me this trip and I want to give him praise.

1st - I have a new GIRL translator who is sold out for Jesus and wants to work for free. Yes I said FREE. She told me it would be her way of giving to God. How sweet. I will of course pay her but she thinks she should do it for free.

2nd - My airline ticketed ended up costing $561 which is not too bad and much better than the $700 I was going to have to pay. I will be flying 3 different airlines so pray for my luggage to be where ever I am. This is very important for me because I don't want to lose any of the great stuff in my bags. No only did God give me a great ticket but he put me on an airline that only charges $55 for an oversize bag instead of $200 and trust me the bag I am taking is OVERSIZED.

3rd - I just found out that the gardens in Cebieta are at full harvest. I will hopefully get there in time to actually see RED ripe tomatoes. I can't wait to see them.

4th - I sent word that I was coming and ask what could I bring them and all they wanted was bibles. They could have asked for anything and they asked for Bibles. If that is not a testimony to what God is doing nothing is.

As always I ask that you pray over me while I am gone and my family. Terry is staying behind this trip to make sure my boys are ok. I will miss him a lot so pray for me.

Please pray for my safety and for my health as swine flu is everywhere in Nicaragua. I do not want to come home sick and have my Christmas break with the kids a horrible one.

I will write as I can and update you on my trip. Please put me on your daily prayer list. Pray takes care of everything.

Again, thanks to everyone who helped with this trip. I am going physically but you are coming with me through your donations and prayers.

God  Bless,

Angie

Baby Clothes and accessories needed

I have a good friend in Nicaragua who is due to have a baby the week after I am there. They have very little income and could use any baby stuff I can take to them.

They can't afford ultrasounds there so knowing if it is a boy or girl is out of the question so I'm looking for things that will fit either.

Would love to bless them with the essentials like clothes, cloth diapers, onesies, socks, receiving blankets, etc.

If you have any or know of anyone who just had a baby and probably has items they can't use anymore I would love to take them off your hands.

Please shoot me an email if you have anything you would like to give to a very needy family. I will go ahead and say I will also take boy and girl stuff since if the family I am taking it to can't use it I am sure they can find another family that would need it.

I would need this by the week after Thanksgiving. Shoot me an email so I can arrange to meet you.

Thanks so much and continue to pray as I prepare to leave in December.

Things going on...

Just wanted to update you on different things that are going on. I need you prayer warriors to add things to your lists. 1. This week I had the privledge to travel to Darlington SC and speak at Mechancisville Baptist Church. My purpose to go there was to thank them for all the help they have given me since February this year. One family in this church who owns a huge farm in Darlington has sewed into my life in a mighty way and I personally wanted to thank him. The Pastor of that church, Pastor Frankie Tanner was my divine appointment God had for me back on my trip in February. While I was there I was blessed again with enough money to do some incredible things in Nicaragua. Please pray with me that I will hear from God directly on how to use that money specificially. There ae so many projects it can go to so I want to make sure I put it to the right one.

2. Oscar's mom Francisca called to let me know again that she is FREE. I still can't believe it is really happening. This is a miracle and unheard of in Nic. Please pray for her mental state as this week is Oscar's birthday and her mother (who is the bread winner of the family) has been very sick lately.

3. I still need 3 sponsors for the kids in Ceibieta. If you wanted to sponsor and have not done so please email and let me know so I can mark the kids sponsored. You can check the last 3 kids by clicking here.

4. I am going back to Nicaragua in December, however, my normal translator has been blessed to take a full time job and can not help me this week. I really want a girl to translate for me and finding one is hard. Pray God will point me in the right direction to find a true reliable person I can trust and is responsible and knowledgeable about "life and the ways of Nicaraguans." This is very important. I'm trusting this person with everything, my life, my money, my connections, my communication. This person must be a godly woman who is a Type A personality. That is hard to find in Nic. Pray I find that person soon. I need to book my ticket and I don't feel I can until I have that arranged.

5. Keep your eyes open for SALES.. I need to purchase things for the school in Coffradia. Educational type things. Picture puzzles, small people, animals, colored items, basically small things that teachers can use to teach in centers. Things easily packed. I was blessed by another person at MBC with money to buy some and the Dollar Tree is a great place but sometimes the Dollar Store, Dollar General places has them at even a better price. Keep your eyes posted and if Homeschool parents have any your children have grown out of, HOOK ME UP....

6. School supplies for the Sponsored Kids - I am still looking for pencil sharpeners, pencils, colored pencils and markers. Thanks Lisa and Tammy for the supplies  you brought by. Let me know if you have picked up any of these supplies. I will need them in the next week. If you find these items on sale also let me know. I would like to give each child a few pencils each to help since those will go fast.

7. Spanish Bibles - the families in Ceibeta want Bibles. They are learning about the Word of God since they accepted the Lord and want to learn more. If you would like to purchase a Spanish Bible for a family I would be honored to present it to them in your name. I think it will cost me about $5 per family in Managua. I can buy them here for less but they way to much for me to take so I will buy them there. Let me know if this is something you feel led to participate in.

As you see I have a lot going on. I have been blessed this past to week to start working from home at night instead of going to work every day. This has been a huge time saver for me. I have so many projects going on in Nic now that I need to oversee and having my days back are a huge huge blessing.

Please continue to pray for direction, wisdom, open doors and favor in my life. During my visit to SC I met with 8 local pastors. Pray they too will want to work with me on the garden projects.

May God Bless you....
