Great things are happening..

In case you didn't get to read my email from last night, let me bring you up to speed. I got a call from Nicaragua yesterday and they are prepping Oscar for surgery on Monday.

His mom was put back in jail this month and I asked for you to pray for her today as she went before the judge.

IT WORKED....

No only did they let her out today but they have agreed to CANCEL her charges completely and let her out for good. Because they want to make sure she is telling the truth they need some paperwork from the hospital and once they receive that they will issue her a statement of freedom which will cancel her 3 years left for her sentence.

God is so faithful... Can you believe it? They are going to release her for good. That is just not heard of in our jail systems must less in Nicaragua. God heard your prayers and answered them in a mighty way.

Thank you so much for lifting Oscar and Francisca up in prayer. Look what it did.

I talked to Carlos (my translator, my life saver, my right hand man..) today and now the hospital is asking for crazy stuff. Towels for Oscar, 4 pairs of PJ's, distilled water, plastic cups.. Things we just assume are covered are not there. I have already had to pay for bed sheets for mom. We can complain about our medical payments here but just imagine if it was your responsibility to bring with you to the hospital, sheets, towels, soap for the doctor, bulbs for the lights, etc. That is the kind of list they were given.

I wired $200 more to Carlos tonight and I am hoping this will finally cover everything. If you think about it, this will be the cheapest kidney transplant you will ever hear of.

I really appreciate those of you who purchased raffle tickets to help Oscar. That money paid for all the tests needed to get him to this point. God will bless you more than I can imagine. A couple of you have sent in money specifically for Oscar and that money went toward the test also. I still need to cover the last $200 I just wired. If those of you who have not been able to help so far feel led to, please just let me know so I can account for it.

If your family can't help financially, trust me YOUR PRAYERS are worth more. Pray those who can will be willing.

On Monday my little buddy will have a new kidney and a chance at life, all because people like YOU cared for him. What an act of love you have shown. Teach your children about Oscar and what God is doing in his life. Show them his pictures so together you can pray for him.

I'll keep you posted as I know more. Again, thanks so much for your prayers.

Angie

SHE'S A MATCH...

Our prayers are answered. Oscar's mom is a match.

Now time to get started on the next phase. I will need to send them more money in the morning to get the next set of blood work done and then they will do the surgery.

Please pray this process is quick and easy and most important that Oscar's body will not reject the kidney.

I praise God for his provisions and his blessings on Oscar's life. I have committed I will do all I can to make sure Oscar tells his testimony to all. Pray this family will draw closer and closer to the Lord through all this.

Continue praying....

Pray the doctors have great wisdom with the decisions they are going to make Pray for the mom and her body as it goes through losing a kidney Pray for the family as this is a big responsibility for them to have especially when they have no money Pray for Oscar to be strong enough to handle all the procedures he will endure soon Pray for me to raise all the needed money needed to help them Praise God for his everlasting, faithfulness

Thanks to all for your help..

Angie

New Kidney Means a New Life

Yesterday I was blessed to be able able to wire the first $800 for Oscar. On Monday or Tuesday he and his mother will have test ran and they will be sent to Costa Rica to determine if she is a match.

This is a huge hurdle we need to get over and I am asking for each of you to help me pray for this little boy.

I am trusting God completely on this and know that Oscar is HIS prince and He has his life in HIS hands but I don't think God would mind at all if I call out to him on Oscars behalf.

This pray with me over the next two weeks the following:

1. Most importantly that GOD's will be done in Oscar's life. 2. Pray Mom is a match and if she is not she will be able to deal with the pain that will come with that answer. 3 The blood tests will be done in record timing and there will be no interruptions to deal with. 4. Oscar's health will continue to be stable enough for him to undergo the surgery. 5. The prison mom is in will continue to allow her to be with him during this time. 6. The warden of the prison will have mercy on her and let her go on good behavior. 7. During this time of unknown that the entire family will find HOPE and PEACE in God and see that God loves Oscar more than they do and they must trust in him. 8. Pray for the doctors who will do the surgery. Pray they will do the best job any doctor can do and the procedure will be done without any issues. 9. Pray I will raise any additional monies needed to help me. 10. Pray I will be at peace with all that is going on. I won't lie it has been the most stressful two weeks I have had in a long time. I need to find rest in knowing that God sees all and He sees Oscar's future, He's got it all figured out, He does not need me to help him. :)

PUSH...

Pray Until Something Happens..

God Bless,

Angie

My Friend Oscar

In July during my visit to Nicaragua, Dr. Anderson told us about a little boy that was really sick who lived down the street. He had been born with a bad kidney and was losing the other one.

His mother Francisca brought little Oscar to see us. It was an immediate bond between his mother and I and little Oscar didn't mind the attention at all.

Each trip I have gone since July I have visited them and taken him clothes, food, toys and even a new bike for his birthday. It was so great to see him smile.

God did amazing things to Oscar after we left in July. Within months a fragile, sick little boy was a vibrant, energetic, growing boy. Even Dr. Anderson told me in October that Oscar had received a miracle from God. There were no explanations for his healing but God.

In December I returned to find that his mother and father had been arrested and place in jail. Immediately I had great concern for Oscar. His mother kept him clean and feed. She gave him better care than most children get here in the US. What was to happen to Oscar now? That's all I could think about during my trip in December. By March, when I saw him again he still looked really good but was covered in dirt from head to toe. I warned his aunt that Dr. Anderson said he needed to stay clean at all times.

Now in June Oscar lays in a hospital bed in Managua hanging on for his every breathe. I am so blessed that I was there last week. He had been asking for me and wondering when I was going to come and see him. I went to the hospital to find him weak, un-talkative and not at all the healthy little boy I say two months ago.

On Thursday of last week Oscar had dialysis done on his only kidney. The doctors said it was a miracle he lived through it. His system is very weak and fragile and on top of everything else the medicines he needs can only be bought in the US.

Oscar's favorite characters are Power Rangers and although I don't allow my kids to play with them I had to give in to Oscar. We looked everywhere in Managua until I found a nice Red one for him. We took him some fruit and of course candy. The doctors there said he could have anything he wanted. That's not a good sign.

Please pray for Oscar daily. He is only 6 years old. He has the rest of his life to live for the Lord. God is a healer and can do all things. Agree with me that Oscar will receive the care he needs to get better. They are going to test his mother and father to see if they are a match. At the speed they go in Nicaragua it could be too late so pray for a speedy process.

My Buddy Oscar

We meet little Oscar in July, 07. He was the littel boy I asked everyone to pray for because he was on his death bed.

He has lost one kidney and was in the process of losing another. We were told that if Oscar did not get dialysis he would soon die. We did the only thing we knew to do. PRAY.

God heard our prayers and the prayers of many of you and in December when we went to see him we found him, happy, healthy, running around and riding his bike.

Just the day before this visit his doctor told his mom not only did Oscar not need dialysis but he was no longer anemic and did not need to return to the hospital for his bi-weekly visits.

Dr. Anderson the doctor who introduced us to him told us this was a miracle. There is no explanation for how his kidney could heal itself. Once you get to the levels of needing dialysis there is no return. Obvious our healer had a bigger plan.

Praise God.. He is our Healer and our Miracle Worker.
