A friend of mine who lives in Florida has kids who plays baseball and lives in a very active town who love the sport. She heard of the need in Nicaragua for baseball equipment and started an equipment/uniform drive in her community.
It was extremely successful and she shared some of those items with me so I could bless my teams in August 2015.
We distributed hundreds of shirts, tons of baseball pants, hats, cleats, balls and bats.
We were also blessed to help one of the schools that my kids in the community attend. The principal of the school came to me last December asking for help because his school does not have recreation equipment for the kids during recess. This donation gave them enough to start a little pickup game of baseball during recess. I hope to take them additional items each time I go from jump ropes to soccer balls. If you would like to support the school and have access to "recess" type of equipment please keep me in mind.
Thanks Kelli for blessing my kids and the school. On behalf of all the kids and the adult team we greatly appreciate your kindness.
